In December 2011, I went on my first trip to South America. Travelling with one of my closest oldest friends and her mum to Chile, we combined visiting their family with shopping in Santiago, trips to the Vina del Mar and Valparaiso before flying up north to explore the vast Atacama Desert and the wonderfully serene salt planes, a place I can’t wait to visit again with the rest of my family!
